“New Utopia” Collection
This collection was developed for a fashion competition where the brief challenged us to imagine and create our own utopia. In exploring what a perfect world could look like through fashion, I allowed myself to dream boldly, work with unconventional materials, and push the boundaries of form, texture, and silhouette.
During this creative process, I discovered designer Minju Kim on Netflix’s Next in Fashion. Her final collection, deeply rooted in her cultural heritage and artistic storytelling, left a powerful impression on me. The voluminous shapes, playful spirit, and emotional depth of her designs inspired me to merge my own utopian dream with a similarly expressive and personal design language.
In my version of utopia, fashion becomes a space of freedom, fantasy, and emotion. I combined extra materials, sculptural shapes, and soft surrealism to create pieces that feel like wearable dreams. The collection reflects a world where tradition and imagination coexist, where individuality is celebrated, and where creativity knows no limits.
“New Utopia” is not just about aesthetics it’s about possibility, personal mythology, and a vision of the future shaped by heart and heritage.
